At home: use the shoe’s care route

Take the shoes out and identify their materials and exact care instructions. Suede, leather, mesh and other constructions can require different treatment. Remove laces or insoles only when the shoe maker’s procedure permits it; do not assume every component is removable or washable.

Dry the carrier as well as the shoes

Leave permitted pockets open during air drying and wait until padded seams and corners are dry before routine storage. Do not transfer Under Armour’s hand-wash method to a spot-clean bag or treat an open vent as permission to store damp gear.

Check readiness instead of trusting a timer

Check the shoes themselves for dryness before playing or repacking. Materials, saturation and room conditions vary, and the reviewed manufacturer guidance does not guarantee that every pair will dry between tournament games or overnight.
