Measure the ball and the usable pocket
Use the same unit for every measurement. Measure the actual inflated ball; size 7, 6 and 5 labels are only starting points. Enter the smallest clear pocket opening dimensions with the rest of your gear already packed.
Enter positive ball and pocket measurements and a nonnegative clearance to calculate.
This sphere-and-opening check is not a fit guarantee. Curved seams, zippers, fabric tension, dividers and access can prevent real fit. Do not force the zipper or deflate a ball solely to make an unsuitable pocket work.
