MIER Basketball Backpack 40L: Storage & Fit Guide
MIER specifies 40 L and a padded sleeve for a laptop up to 17.3 inches, making this basketball backpack worth investigating for a large school-and-sports load. Its description of the ventilated front section is less clear: it refers to shoes, dirty gear and balls without establishing separate simultaneous ball and shoe chambers.
The front pocket is the unresolved part of this design
MIER describes a ventilated front zipped mesh compartment for shoes and dirty gear, then says it fits shoes, basketballs and soccer balls. It also lists that section at 8.5 by 8.5 by 8.5 inches. The dimensions and broad basketball wording leave exact ball fit uncertain.
Treat the pocket as an either-or space when planning: the copy does not establish separate simultaneous chambers for a basketball and shoes. It also does not establish regulation size-7 fit. If either requirement decides the purchase, request the compartment layout and usable opening measurements.
The 17.3-inch laptop sleeve is the clearer reason to compare it
The main compartment includes a padded laptop sleeve for up to 17.3 inches and a separate padded tablet pocket. That combination is relevant when a computer exceeds the 15- or 16-inch limits on other models, or when you carry both devices. Check the computer body and case against the sleeve.
MIER states 40 L and exterior dimensions of 14.25 inches long, 8.25 inches wide and 21 inches high. That is a higher stated volume than the 29–32 L alternatives, but it describes the overall bag, not how much school storage remains once the front section is occupied.
Decide whether the shared pocket works for your load
A laundry pouch, multiple pockets, padded water-resistant bottom and detachable hanging carabiner round out the published features. They provide places for accessories but do not resolve where both the ball and shoes go.
Compare WOLT if separate ball and shoe compartments are essential, Varsity Elite if an explicit full-size-ball claim is essential, or POINT3 Road Trip Tech if a large laptop and an external ball carrier are the combination you need. MIER's 40 L and 17.3-inch laptop claims are specific; its ball-and-shoe arrangement needs confirmation.
Exact-offer boundary
The retained Amazon catalog has MIER gym backpacks with shoe compartments, but none is verified as this 40 L basketball model. Those different products are not shown here as exact matches.
